5000VA vs 6500VA: which should you buy?

The 6500VA adds 1.2kW of headroom for about £600 more. Worth it if you have a heat pump, large induction hob, or EV charger you want on backup. For everyone else, the 5000VA is the sweet spot - cheaper, lighter (30kg vs 42kg), lower idle draw (18W vs 25W).
