What does open box mean at Bimble Solar?
It is stock that cannot be sold as sealed new: ex-display units, customer returns, or items with damaged packaging. The hardware works and still carries its manufacturer warranty. The catch is quantity, usually one or two units, so open box listings disappear quickly.
Are these prices including VAT?
No. Every price here is ex VAT, exactly as Bimble Solar lists it, so the discount percentage is a fair like-for-like comparison against their own list price. VAT is added at their checkout. Solar panels and batteries installed in a UK home currently qualify for zero rated VAT, but loose components bought on their own usually do not.
How often is this page updated?
Once a day, by script, as part of the same daily job that maintains the rest of this site. The date in the Last Checked box is the real scan date rather than a hand-edited one.
Why are sold out items still listed?
Because it tells you something useful. A deal that vanished in a day shows how fast this stock moves. Items stay in Recently Gone for about a month after they come off offer, clearly marked as unavailable, then drop off.
Is a discount here automatically a good price?
Not automatically. The figure shown is against Bimble Solar's own list price, which is not the same as the best price on the UK market. For anything over about a hundred pounds, spend two minutes price checking elsewhere first.
